PRIM ORLÍK 38

The inspiration for this model was the legendary Orlík model from 1965, which is undoubtedly an icon of Czech watchmaking. In 2017, our designers in Nové Město nad Metují developed a completely new PRIM caliber 105.00 mechanical movement with automatic winding for the PRIM Orlík 38 watch. Its most distinctive feature is the eccentric seconds hand. It was first used in the extremely successful PRIM Orlík Anthropoid limited edition, although the movement, at that time, had manual winding. Thanks to this detail, the appearance of the PRIM Orlík 38 watch makes reference to the original model, which was created in the early 1960s for the Czechoslovak Army.

The distinguishing features are not only the design of the case and dial or the absence of a date window, but also the more subtle dimensions of the case and the atypical convex sapphire crystal glass cover. However, it is not a copy of the original model - the technologies and modern materials used fully meet current requirements. 

The new rotating ring is made with HyCeram ® technology and the water resistance of the watch has been increased from 5 ATM to 10 ATM. The case, with a diameter of 38 mm, corresponds to current trends and enables the more universal use of the watch, which - despite its features is not "just" a sports watch.

The watch is equipped with a mechanical in-house movement manufactured directly in the ELTON watch factory in Nové Město nad Metují, as is the rest of the watch. As a result, the PRIM Orlík 38 model is a Czech product through and through.
